2021 Some Days are Diamonds

Our single-vineyard Syrah series was created to showcase the depth and diversity of Washington State Syrah, by bottling small, barrel-select parcels of some of our most prized vineyards. Each Syrah in the series was fermented and aged identical to the next to portray how incredibly different Syrah can act depending on the soil it is grown in. Bob Betz, MW once called Syrah “The chameleon of Washington wine.”  The Some Days Are Diamonds Syrah comes from May’s Discovery Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills and is inspired by the Syrah’s of Northern Rhone. In particular, those of Cornas.
